BREW Week 2011 has come and passed, and it has left many of us thinking about issues that surround us every day. Campus Service Commission did an outstanding job collaborating, organizing and hosting a wealth of thought-provoking events. Now, where do we go from here?
This is where you, the extraordinary Cobber that you are, come into play. You are passionate about something. There is likely even a student organization focused on what you are passionate about waiting for your ideas and leadership. Currently there are over 100 student organizations on campus, and each one of them promotes responsible engagement. Seek out these organizations, brainstorm ways you can make a difference and do something. I cannot say it will be easy, or that big changes will happen overnight, but nothing will happen unless you act now.
At its inception, BREW Week was designed to highlight a wide variety of issues by collaborating with student organizations and individuals. Do you have a global issue you would like to draw attention to? Campus Service Commission wants to work with you and your idea. Send an email to email@example.com to get started.
