Championship Roundup

Wrestling:

Senior wrestler Phil Moenkedick won his second NCAA Championship 2-1 last weekend on March 12. Moenkedick is the first Concordia wrestler to win two consecutive NCAA titles.

The team placed seventh  in the championship overall.

Indoor Track and Field:

Cobber men finished their indoor season well, placing eighth overall in the MIAC championships.

Cobber women placed ninth overall, with senior Alyssa Deutschmann scoring the lone individual win in the high jump.

Hockey:

After a win the the MIAC semifinals, the Concordia men went on to lose 5-2 to Hamline in the MIAC finals.

The Concordia women finished a particularly strong season at the MIAC semifinals, losing to Gustavus 5-2. Despite their loss, this season sets a new record for most wins by a Concordia women’s hockey team.

Basketball:

The Cobber women finished their season with a 71-61 win in their February championship, but went on to lose a final post-season game against Simpson. This season’s five starters all received post-season MIAC honors.
