Concordia to host sacred harp sing this Saturday

In March of 1993, Deane Root and Doris Dyen led a Sacred Harp workshop as part of Garrison Keillor’s Prairie Home Festival.

Saturday, March 12, Sacred Harp returns to Moorhead. The event will be hosted in the Birkeland Lounge from 1 to 4p.m.

Nathan Rees, a member of the board of the Sacred Harp Publishing Company, will lead the singing school at 1:00 p.m. More than a dozen Sacred Harp singers from the Twin Cities will join in at 2:00 p.m. for a two hour singing which all are welcome to join in … they’re bringing loaner books.
