Opinion: State of the Union avoids presidential shortcomings

Posted on April 14, 2022April 14, 2022 by Ruel Domi

It is hard for a sitting President to hide the failures in his tenure, however, President Biden seemed to have succeeded in this State of the Union, or at least what he, the Democrats and the sycophantic mainstream media thought.

For a moment, it almost seemed like Putin actually saved Biden with the invasion of Ukraine. Had it not been for that military aggression, President Biden would not have had the chance to deflect the attention to the Russian aggression, and instead would have had to face the problems his administration caused in 14 months: a 40-year high inflation rate of 7.5%, the highest since 1982, gas prices going up to $3.6 per gallon and the global supply chain disruptions, the average American household is struggling like never before.

The disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal that left millions of dollars of U.S. military equipment to the Taliban regime and killed 13 U.S. soldiers created a world stage where America looked weak against its enemies. Let us not to forget the Biden Administration response: a drone attack that killed an innocent family with its seven children.

The mask mandates seemed to suddenly become unnecessary right ahead of the State of the Union and the Democratic collapse before the midterms, as if the Democratic lawmakers, mayors, governors did not impose unconstitutional and tyrannical mask and vaccine mandates, shutting down schools and destroying businesses.

In case you’re confused, nothing actually changed. Science hasn’t changed. What has come above the water, is that this has never been about “slowing the spread” or “flattening the curve”. It has always been about power.
