MOORHEAD – The women’s basketball team earned a spot in the National Collegiate Atheltic Association (NCAA) playoff tournament on Monday, Feb. 26.
After losing to Gustavus in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference chapmionship, it looked like the Cobber’s season was over. But they were able to secure one of 21 available at-large bids to the tournament, according to the Instagram account Cobbersid.
This marks the Cobber’s first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 2014.
The Cobbers will take on Illinois Wesleyan at Wartburg College on Friday, March 1 at 5:15 p.m.
