Visual art at the library

Mike Marth, local visual artist, presented his art Nov. 3 at the Moorhead Public Library. He displayed his rendition of Saint Teresa, holding stuffed grocery bags with wrappers, titled St. Consumption. Marth uses shovel handles, screws, toothbrushes, keys, clothespins and last-place bowling trophies among other random objects to create mixed media art. “Nothing goes to waste,” Marth said. “Somebody gets use out of them, and I think that’s great.”

The photojournalism for this piece was done by Ali Everts, The Concordian.
