MOORHEAD – Since its opening on July 28, 7Brew has already made itself a pillar of many Moorhead residents’ daily lives due to its unique business model and plethora of drink options. Whether a person is craving a hot black coffee or a Firecracker Fizz, 7Brew seems to have something for everyone.
“(7Brew) offers a lot of options for younger generations, even kids or teenagers in general. And I think, like, our extended hours also really help too. And the fact that it’s literally in the tri-College Area,” senior Concordia student and 7Brew employee Bethany Timm said, “I guess a lot of places have various syrups, but I think the fact that we promote that really well is different, because sometimes you never really know what a coffee place has.”

According to 7Brew’s website, the drive-thru coffee business was founded in Rogers, Arkansas, where its first “stand” was created in 2017. The shop touts itself on “cultivating kindness and joy with every drink – through our service, speed, quality, energy and atmosphere” and claims to be “changing the drive-thru coffee industry.” 7Brew has now expanded to include 748 “stands,” and prides itself on the 20,000+ possible drink combinations.
“It is like the most chaotic and upbeat environment ever. It’s definitely stressful at times, I will say. But the teamwork and, like, the team building is really, really is positive there,” Timm said.
The popularity of 7Brew has brought attention to the chain’s massive menu, including their secret menu. On social media, some have gone so far as to create Facebook groups dedicated to the invention of new drinks and making the “secret menu” more widely available to patrons.
“I absolutely love 7Brew. It’s efficient, delicious, and I look forward to getting fun drinks at least a couple times a week. My go-to drink right now is definitely a 7Fizz with orange, vanilla, and cream,” junior Brooklyn Hannig said.
The “7 Originals,” as the company has branded them, are atop the 7Brew menu and are considered the classic coffee drinks of the brand. According to Timm, the Blondie is the most popular drink she encounters, which is a caramel and vanilla breve. However, there are also sections of the menu dedicated to “Classics,” “7 Fizz,” “7 Energy,” as well as teas and lemonades.
“They offer fun drinks without caffeine too. A lot of college kids like their caffeine, but like, some try and be better about it so then they can get a fizz or smoothie, yeah, things like that. And the fact that it’s so close, it has extended hours, and the prices are actually pretty decent compared to other places makes it a great option for college students,” Timm said.
According to the 7Brew website, the company is “all about speed, quality, and spreading positivity,” and “with (their) huge menu, there’s something for everyone—from energy drinks to smoothies, fizzes, and more.”
